Science Week 2024 at ICTAN: programme of activities

The activities will take place from 4 to 14 November at the Institute of Food Science and Technology and Nutrition.

During the first two weeks of November, the Institute of Food and Nutrition Science and Technology (ICTAN-CSIC) will once again be taking part in the activities of Science and Technology Week at the CSIC.

The programme includes a variety of proposals ranging from a guided tour of the facilities to talks on food, nutrition, food safety and food technology, as well as tastings of olive oil, coffee and insects for the more adventurous.

Science Week

Science and Technology Week is the most important initiative for popularising science in many autonomous communities. Since 2001 it has been organised on a national level with the aim of bringing science closer to the public of all ages, stimulating a taste for scientific knowledge and encouraging the participation of citizens in scientific matters by means of dissemination activities in museums, universities, research centres, technology parks, etc.

Its main feature is that the institutions and research centres open their doors so that the public can find out about the latest advances in science and the main lines of research being carried out.
